Freddie Mercury’s Checkerboard Unitard
Recreated in 1:6 Scale Freddie Mercury’s Iconic Checkerboard Unitard which he wore Queen’s Live at The Summit Concert in Houston on December 11, 1977
It was quite challenging getting the checkerboard design to line up and fall into place along the seams and around the body but after several attempts, we finally got to make everything work together. Also used our new printing method to get the deepest black possible to contrast against the white spandex. Our final challenge was making the Ballet shoes in genuine leather to complete the costume.
